From the time of birth, children are so fancied by toys. Parents almost go into confusion as to what kinds of toys they should buy for their child. In excitement, they get whatever the parents like. Or they think that the most expensive toys are the best toys. But, it is not so. Children under three years should not be given toys that are battery operated or toys that have small spare parts. There is a chance that children may put those spare parts or put the batteries in their mouth. Parents should be careful while choosing toys and gifts for their children. There are a lot of educational toys that are available for children above six months. This is the age when focus has to be given on brain, eye and hand coordination. There are toys that help the child enhance the coordination. There are toys that help identify colors along with pronunciation. There are toys to identify animals and their sounds. There are toys to help the child talk and learn fast.
Children learn fast when the learning is through play. Hence, apart from the toys, parents should make sure that they spend quality time with the child and play with the child. This will grow the love for parents and reduce the insecure feeling the child might have.
